Monday

10:00 a.m. Scavenger Hunt

Children are invited to meet at the lodge for a scavenger hunt. (Those of you who've memorized the traditional Hiawatha list may notice a few changes.)

3:00 p.m.  Rocket Building

A favored Hiawatha tradition. Come learn the difference between plastic cement and Elmer’s wood glue while building your own model rocket. Rockets for sale at the lodge.

6:00 p.m. Weiner Roast

Been coming for over thirty years? First timer?  “Let’s get acquainted” at the Weiner Roast

Tuesday

3:00 p.m. Rocket Building

Have more work to do, or just missed the first day? Session two is for you!

8:00 p.m.  Bingo

An hour of Bingo at the lodge. Don’t miss out on what may be your only chance to test your luck at Good Buddy and Hiawatha Bingo, and maybe even walk away with a free milkshake.

Wednesday

10:00 a.m.  Kid’s Fishing Trip

An outing for the not-so-little and the little’uns – come have a picnic on the lake and see how the fish like your lure. Guided by Hiawatha Beach staff, the trip goal is to have fun, laugh, eat a tasty PB&J, and hopefully catch a fish or two. Keepers will be cleaned and saved for Friday’s Fish Fry, where the kids will get to enjoy their catch. 

3:00 p.m.  Rocket Building

Last chance to put the finishing touches on your beauteous star-reaching creation. 

7:30 p.m.  Rocket Launching

If you’ve built a rocket, meet in the lodge between 7:00 and 7:20 to fuel up. If you didn’t build, meet us on the lawn to offer a bold countdown voice and witness them blast off. 

Windy Day Special! Watch the skills (or lack-there-of) of the Rocket Crew out in the boat as they try to catch the water-bound flyers.

Thursday

11:30 a.m.    Navajo Tacos

Needing a change from burgers and pizza? Luncheon special: “A touch of Indian” – a meal as pretty as a picture and just as tasty. Guaranteed to fill you up.

Friday

6:00 p.m.   Fish Fry

Join us for a “bring your own fish” potluck. You bring the fish, we’ll fry them. Also bring something for the potluck table. We’ll provide the beverages and dishes.

Weather raining on your parade? Come get a Pictionary or Phase10 tournament started, or pick out a flick and fill the movie room.

Early riser? Coffee and hot chocolate served each morning at the lodge. The Coffee Crew is usually in around 9:00 a.m., come join and share your wildest fish story or talk about current events.
