My family has been vacationing
My family has been vacationing at Hiawatha Beach Resort for 45 years. We had previously visited numerous resorts in northern Minnesota, but no other has provided the quality of updated accommodations, amenities and family atmosphere of Hiawatha Beach. The activities provide fun for guests of all ages. Many families return year after year, both large and small. We are a 3 generation family, who appreciates having options of cabins and condos, which offer handicap accessibility., Internet and blu tooth service. The views of gorgeous Leech Lake and Steamboat Bay are breathtaking.! The Jacobsen family, who has owned and operated the resort for a century, are warm and friendly. They make every guest feel welcome. We have traveled throughout the US and the world, but this is where we feel most comfortable and choose to return year after year. This resort is a hidden gem!

I don’t know where to
I don’t know where to begin. I could right a whole book on how amazing and fun this place is but i’ll keep it to a couple sentences. I have come for 15 years and every time it gets better and better. My dad and his family have been going about 10 years longer than I have. The cabins or the rooms may be a little out dated but who cares when you are making memories. We come every year for one week with 50 people and two cabins. I count down the days about two months before we go. We have family from 4 different states that come every year. This resort could not be any better. the people here are super nice. Ben and AJ are the best!!! I can’t wait for this year!!!
With the 14 years that
With the 14 years that I have been here and the 25 years that my family has come here to celebrate our annual family reunion this is definitely our home away from home. They offer different activities everyday so it is sure to keep the family busy! Thank you Jacobson family for all that you have done for me and my family.

A wonderful place to stay! Our large family group of 25 stayed in the lodge. We were there 6 years ago in winter for my mother’s 80th birthday and last weekend for her memorial in Walker. The staff is very helpful and available when you need them while giving you the freedom to pursue a wide array of activities. There was a place to tie the boat for the weekend at no additional cost. The beach is nice and well equipped with personal watercraft and the floating trampoline. There was no reason to leave for the entire day. My mom grew up in Walker and loved the water so much. We appreciate Hiawatha Beach for helping us honor our mom by enjoying the lake to the fullest.
